I live in Kansas but grew up in the mountains of Colorado. The seasonal differences and climate change still amaze me when it comes to growing plants. In Colorado we had a green house where we planted everything but it is a very short growing season. So here is just an example about what I am talking about. Once I have a garden I will post pictures as well. It blows my mind as to how fast things grow here and how big they get!
This is delightful little lady bug. I was getting ready to chop up the rhubarb and there were a bunch of these little guys.
Here it is. Three huge plants/trees! Now this was completely mowed off and non existent only a couple of weeks ago. I had no idea there were even rhubarb plants there until one day there they were.
And here is what it looks like in the mountains at my grandparents. These just started to grow and I took these pictures a day apart.
I did this post mainly to show my family, as I'm sure not everyone is fascinated with the topic.
Now, what do I do with the rhubarb? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Strawberry rhubarb pie! yum. Crazy how much faster things grow there, but I believe it.
