Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Summer TBR List

Thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl for Hosting Top Ten Tuesday!

Summer reading has arrived. I personally think I read more in the winter vs. summer because in the winter I am cozy inside with a book. That being said, it is fun to have summer reading challenges and of course that never ending TBR pile to dive into.

Top Ten Summer TBR List

Ted Dekker is one of my favorite authors. I am curious to see what this story is all about!

I have heard wonderful things about this book and I am dying to read it!!

If Elizabeth Camden wrote it, I will be reading it as soon as possible.

So this is Jaime's second published book and the first one was phenomenal. I am so excited to read this.

This book was recommended to me by a couple of my friends.

I really have enjoyed Colleen's suspense novels, she has such a talent for it.

I have been pleasantly surprised with this author. I am curious to see what this book is all about.

Of course I have to read more by L. M. Montgomery!

I have really been wanting to read this book! I have read her previous books and really enjoyed them.

I really enjoy biographies and after visiting PEI last fall I have wanted to read this book.

So as you can see there is a wide variety of books that I want to read this summer! How about you? Do you have any books you recommend?

Where Hope Begins Review

 36248923

About the Book

In the aftermath of her husband’s act of adultery and abandonment, Savannah must finally face the ghosts that haunt her and discover for herself whether authentic faith, grace, and ultimate healing really do exist.

When her husband of twenty-one years leaves her, Savannah Barrington believes she’s lost almost everything she’s ever loved. With her daughter in college and her son in boarding school, Savannah retreats to her parents’ lake house in the Berkshires, where hope and healing come in the form of an old woman’s wisdom, a little girl’s laughter, a touch of magic, and a handsome man who’s willing to risk his own heart to prove she’s still worth loving.

But when her husband asks to reconcile, Savannah is faced with the hardest challenge of all: Forgiving the unforgivable. Somehow she must find freedom from the chains of their past and move forward, or face an unknown future without him. (goodreads)

My Thoughts

This is by far Catherine West's best novel! I was absolutely engrossed with this book and I really can't recommend it enough. The characters are all very well written and the plot well thought out. There is adultery, divorce, suicide (nothing graphic), and the loss of a loved ones. So as you can imagine this is an emotional book, nothing light or fluffy. The biggest part was how the marriage was written, even after finishing this story it is staying with me. I loved how nothing in this book was easy and how realistic the dialogue and life situations were. I loved the secondary characters and how the ending ties everything together. With all of the touchy subjects within it's pages, this book was so well done it has made my top favorite books list.

Five stars!

Falling For You Review-Another Winner From Becky Wade!

 36347611

 About the Book

Willow Bradford is content taking a break from modeling to run her family's inn until she comes face-to-face with NFL quarterback Corbin Stewart, the man who broke her heart--and wants to win her back. When a decades-old missing-persons case brings them together, they're forced to decide whether they can risk falling for one another all over again. (Goodreads)

My Thoughts

Becky Wade has such a gift of story. I have enjoyed every book she has written and this one is now one of my favorites. I highly recommend reading the previous books (yes, even the novella) to fully appreciate the story line. So this series is about sisters and I LOVE everything about that. Willow could possibly be my favorite sister because, aside from the whole famous model thing, she reminds me a bit of myself. This book touches on a lot of sensitive subjects and hit close to home a time or two. I think Becky did a wonderful job in keeping this story realistic and also a good example of how God can change our lives for the better. There is a slight mystery that weaves throughout the book that I enjoyed and of course the romance is well written. (Becky Wade KNOWS how to write romance. She just does.) I loved reading Corbin and Willow's struggles and I am so curious to see what happens in the next book!
I so enjoyed this book and I highly recommend!!

FIVE STARS!
