I was contacted about this new show for National Geographic called Church Rescue
that follows
“The Church Hoppers”, a team of ministers who specializes in helping
struggling sanctuaries get back on their feet. After being contacted by
pastors looking for a helping hand, The Church Hoppers dig deep to
uncover the church’s problems and then provide them with solutions – a faith lift if you will. Over
the course of the first season we’ll get to know The Hoppers as they
answer their calling to revitalize churches across America inside and
out.
After I was sent more info I watched the show and started reading more about it.
Honestly, I'm not sure what to expect with the rest of the season. It seems odd for them to be in a church trying to "blend in" when there are clearly movie cameras everywhere. While I think the intention is to help others, I just hope that it doesn't become all about money and status and having a bigger better church than the one down the road, that's simply not what faith is about.
For those who have seen the show or what to learn more stop over to this site.
