My Thoughts
I love a good pirate story and this one had a great premise but I was a little disappointed. Annabelle really drove me nuts for a lot of the story. To me, this story read a lot like a young adult novel and I do enjoy YA books, I just wasn't expecting this book to read like one. I struggled to love the main two while some of the secondary characters I enjoyed more. There were so many things that seemed pretty cheesy but there are some fun moments and light romance. I did not love the ending and I really wish I did. I really wanted to love this story! It was a quick read with some fun moments and the idea of a young woman growing up with a pirate crew is a unique idea! I am sure many others will enjoy it!!
