Downside Up offers wisdom, guidance, and personal application while also outlining and establishing key biblical principles that promote emotional and mental wellness. Readers will:

My Review

This book is a good read in order to look at disappointments in life in a different light. Tracey Mitchell has some great positive points, when rejection is put in your life. If you think about it many of the things we do in life we do in order to avoid rejection, its the last thing we want. Either with family, work, friends, or simply  giving speeches. We want to be praised not told we aren't good enough. Tracey writes throughout the book to replace the negative thoughts with positive ones and see how certain circumstances in life, while rejected, you grow as a person and things turn out how they should. On many of her pages she includes positive quotes on how to create a better mindset.
While I enjoyed the main idea around this book, after reading it is difficult to hold true to the quotes throughout the book. Getting through rejection is not always easy, we all go through it but while in the midst of life thinking positive is hard. She includes some great verses that I would encourage many people to write down and remember.

I give this book four stars, great ideas but not sure they will have a lasting affect.
