Today is a Thanksgiving freebie for TTT and it made me think about what authors I am thankful for. I am grateful that they have written stories and continue to do so. Many of these title are older but these authors are still writing and I love them all!

My Thoughts

I could not put this book down. From the first page to the last I was totally captivated in trying to solve the cold case that had me rather stumped. I loved how this story is told from multiple points of view and Heather's mother is such a unique character I really loved reading from her perspective. There are so many things happening within the pages of this book. Family issues, grief, regret, forgiveness, and mystery. I did feel like the ending came a bit too soon and perhaps could have been fleshed out a bit more but I really loved this book and I can't wait to read Christina Suzann Nelson's next novel. She has such talent for writing heartfelt and honest stories.

My Thoughts

This story left me thinking about it's characters long after I closed the book. There are a few different story lines happening but I loved how they intertwined together. The author did an excellent job with the multiple different characters. This story starts off with a bang and pretty much has you guessing until the final chapters. What I loved most about this story is that you think you know what is going on, as the reader you get to understand all sides, but the ending had a nice surprise. There are some really challenging life issues that are a part of these families lives and I thought it was all really well written. Forgiveness and healing are huge components in this book and I think it is what makes the book worthwhile. 

This author reminded me a bit of Jodi Picoult's writing.
