My Thoughts

I have loved most every book I have read by Terri Blackstock. This book is different than her typical suspense and I wasn't sure what to expect. The book is actually rather small and I think it read more as a novella than a novel. I loved how the story played out, it is different and fresh. I like how it was set around Christmas, I also love that Finn is explained to be similar to Luke in Gilmore Girls. With that in mind it makes his character all the better in my opinion. I also think this story shows how people typically act and how we tend to not see the big picture or the things that matter. The romance I really didn't like but the rest of the story was enjoyable.

If you are wanting a unique Christmas story this is the book for you!

My Thoughts

This is the highly anticipated conclusion to this thrilling series! My husband and I have both enjoyed these books and were super excited to FINALLY find out what happens! I will say you must start with book one or none of the story will make sense. I have loved all of the books and the suspense will keep you on the edge of your chair and biting your fingernails. I will say I think that I liked the first two books the most, as they were the most suspenseful. The third book wraps everything up nicely, though I did feel it was slightly rushed. The characters are wonderfully written and I love that it is a series my husband and I can both read and enjoy. There is slight romance but nothing over the top, and for that I was thankful as sometimes I think it takes away from the story line instead of adding to it. If you are looking for suspense I highly recommend this series and this author! All of the books I have read by her have been top notch.

My Thoughts

So first of all, do not pick this book up if you have not read book one! The book will make no sense and you will be missing out on a lot! I have been dying for this book to come out and much to might delight/irritation this book leaves you hanging too! There is yet, another book after this one to finish the story. 

This series is simply fantastic and I have enjoyed both books. This one felt like an in between book, the first one was slightly more suspenseful, If I'm Found was more intriguing than suspenseful. Don't get me wrong there is suspense since that is what the whole story is about but this book just seemed to go a bit deeper into the plot. I love Casey and Dylan and how different they are and how the author is shaping them. This is a book I could not put down and if you have read book one you must read If I'm Found!

Here are the top ten books for the year! I love doing this post every year so I can look back and see what all I read. This wasn't the best book year for me. I read quite a few that I didn't really enjoy, but these books are definitely worth reading!

The best book of the year hands down. I adore this story and the characters.

 

This is general fiction so there is some language etc. I have become a huge fan of Kristin Hannah though and I look forward to reading more by her.

 



 



 

This is an older book but it is fantastic for historical fiction lovers!!

It's Dani Pettrey-need I say more?!

My Thoughts

Wow, what a great suspense read!! I love Terri Blackstocks' writing, she is truly gifted in creating suspense stories that are realistic and intense. The characters in this particular book I really liked and they had such depth but as a reader you weren't given all the info right away. I like it when authors make it so you don't have it all figured out. Casey is on the run and we find her right after someone has been murdered. Dylan comes in later in the story and I found him to be smart, but I want to know more about him. It is very fast paced and I'm not sure I set it down once. This book is not tied to any other books she has written so if you are new to this author this is a great book to start on! I will warn you there is a major cliff hanger at the end!!

My Review

I hate to say it but this book was my least favorite in this series. The other two seemed more suspenseful and intriguing. This book does include the same characters from the previous stories, so I recommend reading them in order. Holly's character frustrated me at times but I liked Terri's portrayal of her life and situation raising a baby and being a cap driver. The most surprising person in this story was Creed who confused me at first and really completed the story line. Terri could have twisted the relationships up a bit but instead I think she made life more realistic and I liked it. I loved reading about all of the previous people and their continuing stories. I just didn't connect with this book much and for me it wasn't so much a page turner. I know so many people will love it though as I have the previous two.

Terri Blackstock is a great writer and I can't wait to read more!

My Review

 This was a great conclusion for this series! This and the first book were my favorites from the series. This story line held more suspense for me throughout the book. I enjoyed the same characters of course but also the new ones introduced. I love the message of Christ within the pages, even during a murder investigation everyone's lives still continue on. Cade of course is knee deep in tracking down the murderer while trying to live his own personal life. Sheila and Sadie are in this book a lot and I enjoyed them more this book than any before. 

I think the murder case was intriguing and overall the end wraps up nicely with all of the characters. 

I highly recommend this series and that you read them in order.

My Review

I have read all the books in this series thus far and I'm such a fan of Terri Blackstock. I do think that her more recent books are my favorite and a bit more suspenseful but this is still a great series. That being said this book is centered around infertility in every way. It was interesting to read about and get into the emotions of the characters. The murder is to a woman named Lisa who has been trying for years to have a child. Add some politics, shady business owners, and media and you have yourself a puzzle. 

I really like Cade, the man who looks into each murder in each book. He is a great character and it's nice to see how his life progresses throughout the series. I do recommend reading these books in order as the characters and parts of the storyline do flow in each of them. 

I really liked this book and the way the author tries to mess with the reader's mind. There is also a huge message on living a Christian life in a bit of a side story. 

Highly recommend this series!!

My Review

What a fantastic book!! I haven't read anything by Terri Blackstock and this one was superb on every level. Fast moving suspense with every page. This is the second book in this series though it could be read alone. I am going to go back and read the first one because it has the same people in it and is talked about in Distortion. The characters are great, I love how the family pulls together when tragedy strikes. After the murder the story continues to spiral for Juliet and her kids. Right when you think things can't get any worse, they do! Juliet and her sister become sleuths on trying to figure out exactly who her husband was, since apparently she had no idea!

If you love suspense this is a fantastic book. I highly recommend!
